The Barcelona based collaborative duo, MINA HAMADA & ZOSEN, bring vibrant color and abstract shapes to life in their work across the globe. Mina, a native of Tokyo, Japan and Zosen, Buenos Aires, Argentina born, combine their imagery; hers stemming from fine art, his derived from the streets, to create organically flowing compositions.
After graduating from Sokei Academy of Fine Art & Design, Mina, moved to Barcelona in 2009 and shortly thereafter began collaborating with Zosen, formerly of the Ovejas Negras (ONG) crew, who has been active in the graffiti scene in Barcelona since the 1990s. Zosen’s graphic characters and subtle social commentary combined with Mina’s fluid shapes create striking works of art, unique to the urban art landscape.
For the SPOKE x Mina Hamada & Zosen collaboration at Art Basel Miami 2015, the duo brought their visual creations to an abandoned house in Morningside and to the center of Wynwood.
